What is relationship

Relationship magic – love and ducks

I have just returned from the hairdresser where I sat for an hour looking at myself in the mirror. It was such a joy to see me and how absolutely gorgeous I am and beautiful I look. In fact, the more I see my beauty, the more I see it in everyone else too.

It was not always like this for as a youngster I did not like what I saw in the mirror at all and had a very different relationship with myself, and therefore with others too.

These days the levels of connection I have with myself and others is way beyond anything I ever dreamt of, and this is thanks to living the teachings and tenets of The Way of The Livingness as presented by Serge Benhayon. It is far, far better than a dream come true – it is in fact out of this world!

I did not start living The Way of The Livingness and overnight everything was wonderful: no, I had to go through letting go a lot of stuff that was not me, not who I am and not who we all are. This included ideas about how things are or should be, how I am or should be, protections, patterns, reactions, the need to be right, need for others to get it, need for recognition… you name it, most of us carry a lot of baggage and I still have some but I am travelling lighter and lighter all the time.

We all know about many of the unloving things that can happen in relationship so no need to go into that, but here is list of a few of the wonderful things I have discovered:

  • It all starts with me, which is a great freedom as I can do something about me but not others.
  • If I react to a situation it always says something about me regardless of what is going on with the other, so best to look at my part. Honesty is a great friend here and Absolute Honesty even better.
  • The more I allow myself to love and deepen in relationship with my husband (whom I adore), the more I realise how we do not need each other and that not needing is a factor that allows us to be even more fully together.
  • There is no end to what is possible in relationship – it can constantly develop, deepen and expand.
  • What I learn and experience energetically with one is then available to be lived with all, which further expands.
  • It is a truly beautiful thing to be in a relationship that is about love and yet at a point that is not enough; the greater joy and fullness is when our relationships become about purpose and evolution.
  • We are always in relationship with each other and in fact are often in relationship with people even before we acknowledge we are.
  • The more we meet ourselves, the more we meet everyone else; and the more we meet everyone else, the more they meet themselves and us and so it goes on ever-deepening and expanding.

These days I find it increasingly simple to be in a loving relationship regardless of how the other person responds.

Some people adore me and we have a deep relationship, and many people don’t seem to like me at all and react. I have discovered that the love I am and experience is not dependant on the response or reaction of others.

Every moment is a new moment, a new reflection and a new opportunity.

Life is full of magical moments and it does not only involve people but cars, ducks (I love ducks), animals, plants, shopping trollies, frogs, mirrors, the sky, the stars, the planets, the weather –– everything, everywhere. We are all in constant relationship and never alone.
